All morning classes – cancelled
Open Gym – 12-3
Regular Evening Classes are on as scheduled – 430, 530, 630, 730
Here is what I’m thinking:
- There remains in effect a request for civil responsibility in staying off the roads. Be a responsible citizen, not a knucklehead. While many roads are passable, my experience was that with most small and medium streets only one car could safely pass at a time. You don’t want to be the guy slowing down a plow…or an ambulance.
- There is virtually nowhere to park. At all. And there may not be for a while. I will shovel out a couple of spaces, but they aren’t mine to keep. (Chief Lanier said that today, “No one owns a parking space.” Debate amongst yourselves.) If you do drive, and find a space, bring a shovel…you may need it to get out.
- For those who could walk, the overnight low will be 22, making a frozen early morning walk as dangerous as a blindfolded box jump.
- Open gym: I know some of you who live in condos and are thus missing the joy of shoveling, need to blow off some steam, and probably some calories. (Did anyone make my hot chocolate and Fireball idea? Me neither.) By noon you should be able to walk ok. If you have to work, well, sorry about that.
- The evening classes will be tricky. It’s going to get very cold again and parking will still be limited, but we’ll have class for whoever makes it there. And we won’t even give you a hard time if you’re a few minutes late. (Unless you’re someone who is always a few minutes late. Why do you do that?)
- I expect to be back on schedule Tuesday morning.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
