1 Power Clean & Jerk
We are moving a heavy barbell…fast! Cali Bear is a great test of strength and endurance. Athletes should choose a weight that will challenge them due to overall volume of the lifts but allow for automatic lift every :30. Ideally, we do not want to
see any failed lifts, particularly in the first half of the workout. This is a test of strength and endurance…push for a little extra in terms of load as long as mechanics are sound.
Newer athletes should aim to complete 2-3 Reps per minute at a light to moderate load, focusing on refining their technique
